Here's what I pulled in our box of 2007 TOPPS DRAFT PICKS & PROSPECTS FOOTBALL.
Base Cards and Parallels

The base cards have a nice new refreshing design on foil stamped stock. The gold border gives the base set a nice higher priced look to the cards. The Topps Draft Picks and Prospects logo is displayed in the upper left hand corner and the players name and Team are displayed at the very bottom of the card. The back of the card has a short bio of the player along with a section called "Scouting Report" where they have sections called Profile and Evaluation or Commendations. The players stats for the previous season along with a condensed career stats finish off the back of the cards nicely. The parallels are of a very nice thick stock and include various versions of black, bronze, silver and gold. Here are the base parallels we pulled;
- (9) black
- (2) black refractors
- (3) bronze
- (1) silver
Rookie Cards and Parallels

The rookies have 2007 Draft Pick where the team name would be on the base cards and the rookie card designation is above the 2007 Draft Pick saying. The backs have the same "Scouting Report" and Profile sections, but a section titled Insight replaces the Evaluation or Commendations section. The previous years collegiate stats and college career stats complete the back of the cards. Also included were (4) rookies from last year with last years design. These cards were only available in autographed versions before these were made. Here are the rookie and rookie parallels we pulled;
- (23) base rookies
- (6) black rookies
- (1) bronze rookie
- (4) 2006 rookies
Game Used Cards

Two nice game-used cards were pulled from this box as well. Laurence Maroney of the New England Patriots and DeMarcus Tyler of NC State. Final Thoughts on 2007 Topps Draft Picks and Prospects Football;The base set is a real nice new design for this set and the thick high-quality parallels make this box a winner in my book. These boxes can usually be had for between $41 and $57 on most sites that I have checked. We weren't lucky enough to pull an autographed card but we did get two nice game-used cards and a boat load of rookie cards. The two refractors we pulled are of Tony Gonzalez and Joseph Addai. If you were to buy a case of this product you would get 24 Relic Cards and 8 Autographed Cards. This would also include 1 Autographed Relic Card Per Case! This information is from the Topps site. Here's how I would rate this product;
- Value = 5
- Innovation = 4
- Fun and Experience = 5
- Rebuy Value = 4
I rate this product an "A-" for Topps/Bowman! I would have liked to have seen an autograph in every box.NPN Information;NPN 2007 Topps Draft Picks & Prospects Football P.O.
